****UPDATE – after I updated the computer, the problem went away
Spotify asked me how my customer service experience went.
I have quite a few things to rate… My problem still exists and it’s pissing me off. For some reason, Spotify pauses my music at random times during the day. Sometimes it’ll happen within a couple minutes, sometimes it happens after an hour. I know this happens when my wife or child accidentally logs into my Spotify / starts using my account on another device. However, this is not what’s happening because nobody is logging into the account from anywhere else. I repeatedly asked the tech if they could tell me where my account was being accessed but he said he could share that information with me?
1) Ease in contacting a tech at Spotify – 3/10. You try funneling people through the message boards / FAQ. My answer is not in your message board system. I couldn’t find the contact info on your site, I had to use Google to find a link to chat with you.
2) Ability to comprehend my issue – 1/10. The first tech told me to log out of all my Spotify accounts. I already did this 2x without helping the issue…
3) The tech told me to change my Facebook password. I didn’t want to do that but did it anyway and this did not fix the issue.
4) Finally, I was transferred to a new Advanced Tech. He sent me a large list of items that he was going to do. Which included revoking my membership because my account had been compromised. Before I could respond to him, my membership was revoked – THIS SUCKS!
5) I had to renew my membership. I then had to sign up for family services again and send a link to have my wife and kids setup their accounts again.
All of these steps were an unnecessary pain in the ass considering that after going through all of these “fixes” I’m still having the same problem — my Spotify player randomly pauses and nobody in my family is using my account!
Which brings me to the question? Why can’t Spotify tell me who is logged in / using my account?
Did I tell you my customer service experience sucks? Well, it did – so much suck!
The problem still exists, whenever Spotify pauses I have to click play, over and over again.
I would quit the service based on my customer service experience and these player issues except my wife has 100+ playlists that she uses for teaching Yoga. So, you have me by the balls Spotify…
