## Overview

I’m 25 and have been building my credit for about two years. Until now, I had never missed a payment on anything. Back in April, I opened a new credit card for an international trip. I ended up not using it during the trip, but in May I used it once to buy about $66 worth of gas. I completely forgot about that purchase. The first payment was due on June 15, and I didn’t realize I had missed it until July 27, when I immediately paid the full balance. Unfortunately, the payment was already more th
