Was having a terrible time connecting to a windows server in Coda to edit the .asp files. A 2kb file was taking over 1 minute to download.
If Coda is taking in excess of 30-60 seconds to transfer a very small file (but eventually succeeds), and you’re sure nothing is wrong with your internet connection overall, you may need to adjust some settings. If your web hosting provider offers it, try using SFTP instead of FTP. This almost always solves this problem. If you’re stuck with FTP, try toggling the “Passive Mode” setting in the Transfers tab of Coda’s preferences to the opposite of its current state. If that still doesn’t help, please contact our support address with a copy of your Coda transcript showing a slow transfer.
