My Dad has been a long-time AA loyalist, and has spent hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars on his Citi/AAdvantage Executive Platinum year after year due to putting heavy business spend on it (he buys lots of inventory). He easily hits Executive Platinum status each year, and family I’m surprised he isn’t Concierge Key yet. AA Miles and Loyalty Points are pretty much all he cares about, and it works for him.
