Weird interaction at the bank
I was at the bank the other day trying to open my first credit card (was going for the chase freedom rise) and we got to a point where the dude who was helping me asked me how much my annual income was. I make minimum wage at the moment and I told him that along with my annual. he told me that it was a bit too low to be considered for the card and then told me I could instead put my parent's combined income instead as my own income. I have never heard of this being a thing and so I just told

Chase Sapphire Reserve vs Preferred: which one is best for me as a frequent traveler?
I know this is very subjective, but I could use some insight from people who use these cards and are similar to me. I travel a lot (in 2025 alone I logged 29 flights, 12 of those being long-haul (8+ hours). This is pretty typical. I'm American but spend most of the year in South Africa and regularly fly to Europe, Asia, and the U.S., though I also do a lot of shorter flights in southern Africa or within the US/Europe. I'm mostly interested in accruing points to get upgrades to business c

CLEAR + charge 2 weeks later???
I have the Amex Green. A couple of weeks ago, I went to the airport to complete the CLEAR application and paid for it in person. A couple days later, i see a pending Clear charge for $1.00, then it disappeared. I figured Amex just decided to credit me the $209. Fast forward two weeks later and I see a CLEAR Charge pending for $169. The memo states that it was an online transaction. Customer service flagged it but advised I call back when it posts. Have any of you experienced this before? is this

Citi Double Cash application under review — anyone had this happen?
Hey everyone, I applied for the Citi Double Cash card after getting pre-qualified. After submitting my application I didn’t get an instant approval or denial. It says: “Your application is under review. We may contact you via text message or voice call within the next 48 hours so we can continue processing your application. If we’re unable to reach you, we’ll contact you in approximately 7–10 days via mail or email.” For anyone who got this same message: What ended up happening? Approved or deni

Barclays credit card troubles
Hi everyone, I could really use some advice because I’m stuck and don’t know what else to do. I’m 20 and recently bought a car, and during the process they had me open a GM Financial credit card through Barclays. There was a balance on it that I needed to pay off, but on June 8th when I tried to make a payment, the account got locked for “fraudulent activity.” Since then, I’ve called them at least 8 times. Every single time I get told the same thing—that I need to verify my identity by faxing in

Need some help understanding Chase Freedom Rise and why my score dropped
Hello, i’m still a little new to building credit and am trying to build it with this starter card, but am still not really sure the best way to use it to increase credit or how Chase calculates credit scores. Full context: - I have a credit limit of $2000. - My “payment” due dates are the 15th of every month. - “Closing” dates are the 18th. - I had a usage of over 30% on June 24th. - I paid off that usage on July 3rd. - My score dropped because my usage went over 30% My confusion lies because I

Searching for an easy to use automated budgeting and personal finance app.
“I’m looking for the easiest personal finance app. I don’t need a strict budget—I mainly want automatic transaction tracking and categorization across all my accounts. I also have purchases from Walmart, Costco, and Amazon that often include multiple categories (groceries, clothes, household items). How much manual work do you actually do with Monarch, Simplifi, Copilot, or YNAB after the initial setup? If you could start over today, what would you choose and why?” submitted by /u/On

Credit Card advice for new gens
Hello, I am 21 years old and recently started planning which credit cards to get for the future. Tbh, my main objectives for the cards are to pay for travel with my friends for flights and hotels. Naturally, having flown United with my parents all my life and always going to EWR, I am looking at a plan geared towards Chase, United, and Bilt. Right now I have the Discover student card, which just got replaced (I did not close Discover) by my new Freedom Unlimited. I'm currently looking to ope

CSR not showing as an option in Paze wallet
With my cell phone and email, both cap1 and WF cards show up as options in Paze wallet. However, CSR does not. The 10x shows up in the benefits tab of the CSR page on Chase website. Thoughts on getting CSR added to Paze wallet? submitted by /u/respectandmanners [link] [comments]

Chase Ecosystem best way to get new SUBs?
I have the CSP, freedom, flex, unlimited, Southwest ($229 a yr one) and both Disney Cc’d (need to cancel the $100 one, have the Inspire)…. I’d like to get some SUBs again from Chase to transfer to Southwest. What’s a good strategy for churning? I’ve had my main chase cards all of them for over 3 years… can I downgrade? Also, I don’t have a business so any business cc are out. submitted by /u/Additional_Rent_4495 [link] [comments]

Robinhood Gold. Plaid Unavailable = Denial?
Curious if anyone has ran into this. I was invited to apply for Robinhood Hold card, and it said in order to proceed I needed to connect my bank using the Plaid app. I did so, but whenever I hit next, it kept saying “Unexpected error, please try again” after 4 times I closed out of the app. When I opened it to try and apply again, it now says Denied, unable to verify income (through the Plaid app I imagine) I emailed support and they were unable to help, they referred me to the denial letter. Do any pictures of The Private Bank By Invitation Visa Signature exist?
Probably one of the most elusive credit cards I’ve ever heard about, this card is offered by invitation only to Wells Fargo clients with at least one million dollars in assets with them. This Guide to Benefits page exists publicly, as does this Card Agreement and Disclosures Statement, but little else. Cardpointers claims it has a $350 annual fee and earns 3x on travel, 2x on restaurants, and 1x on everything else, but I am highly suspicious of that because they also claim it has foreign transac

WF Attune Discontinued: Will Existing Cardholders Be Grandfathered In?
Does anyone know whether current Wells Fargo Attune cardholders will be grandfathered in now that the Attune has been discontinued, or whether WF plans to have us convert existing cards to another card, like the Autograph, eventually? I have the Attune and really like it for my setup, so I’m curious whether anyone has received a notice or asked WF directly. submitted by /u/Living_Leading79797 [link] [comments]

Wanting to add a travel card to my line up.
Looking to add a travel card to my current stack. I currently have Amex gold, navy federal cash rewards plus, citi double cash, Apple Card, and discover it. Im not sure if I should keep all of these open or not either, as some were used as balance transfers. My credit score sits at 780. In the next year I’ll probably plan to fly around 3-4 times tops with one being a honey moon. I have a few other bigger expenses on my horizon too. Curious as to which travel card may be best for me. Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature Card costumer service?

Hardship, Settlement, or any other advice!
I'm 25 and have around 23k in debt with Navy Federal (on one card). Some devastating things have happened in my life; Covid killed my better paying job, head gasket blew and I had to sell my car for $500, and lastly elbow surgery. I just graduated college and want to kill this hole entirely. Any advice on what to do to remedy my situation would be greatly appreciated; just please don't waste my time and yours with judgement. I'm far from family, have been trying to manage surgery, lo

THANK YOU! Got approved for Wells Forgo Premier Autograph for 100K Sub
Only got know that this card existing because of this community. Here’s the timeline of how I did it: I opened a Wells Fargo Everyday Checking account to take advantage of the $325 sign-up bonus. After the tax credit posted, I upgraded the account to a Premier Checking account. The Premier Checking account normally requires a $250,000 balance to avoid the monthly maintenance fee, but I only had about $2,500 in the account. Later, I received an in-app offer for the Wells Fargo Autograph Premier c
