Advice on wire transfer from Chase to Axis Bank

Overview

One of our US clients had initiated a wire transfer to our axis account in India for the first time . Axis says they have received the fund to the nostro account but did not receive MT103 so they don't have disposing instructions. When the client contacted Chase customer support for MT103 for the wire transfer.. they say they have already sent the fund and cannot provide MT103. Is there any mistake in the way wire transfer was initiated? The client says he has initiated the transaction from
